Summer Enrichment Program
Plano Day School provides a summer enrichment program designed to help students further develop the skills that they acquired during the previous school year and better prepare them for the upcoming year. Children in our programs enjoy lots of special activities. School age and Pre-K children participate in weekly field trips as well.
Children 18 months – 5 years
Letter Recognition, Phonics, Listening Comprehension.
Number Concepts, Computation, Sequencing, Comparison.
Science: Simple Chemistry, The Desert, Water Safety, Forest, Hands on Science Experiments, Under the Sea.
Social Studies: Cultural Studies, Asia, Europe, USA, Africa, Australia, Maps.
Special activities include:
Splash Day, Extreme Obstacle Course, 4th of July Parade, Bubble Mania, Rainbow Fish Play, International Food Festival, Wild Wild West, Rainbow Day, Lego Build, Luau and a Fiesta
Children entering 1st – 8th grade
AM Classes include:
Phonics, Building Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Finding Main Ideas and Summation.
Reinforcement of Grammar, Identifying Sequences, Sentence Structure, Analogy and Creative Writing
Computation, Math concepts, and Problem Solving.
Crossword Puzzles, Word Searches, Logic Thinking, Data Analysis, Patterns, Visual Thinking
Test Preparation: Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science
PM Classes include:
Chinese Cultural Activities, Team building Activities, Leadership Skills, Arts & Crafts, Computer, Chess Groups, Table Tennis, Basketball, Field Trips, Fun & Games, Fitness Activities, & Special Events!
